What does a Health Coach Do? A Health Coach is a wellness professional trained to support, educate and empower you to find your way to better health. They can help you discover health-promoting food and lifestyle choices unique to your needs and teach you how to include them in your life for positive, lasting change. Think Nourished can work with you in person, online, one to one or in groups and families, in GP practices, schools and businesses.

A health coach guides the overarching process—from clarifying the client’s vision to defining strategies for maintaining success once they have attained their goals. Armed with holistic knowledge of how fitness, nutrition and lifestyle influence well-being, a health coach works with clients to design an inclusive, flexible and responsive plan to move daily practices toward healthy choices.

Tom Arundel is a Qualified Health Coach with the UKHCA and trading under the name Think Nourished. He contacted me, here at Andrew Backhouse Design, to see about getting a presence on the web. The site I built him is a WordPress build and I amalgamated his existing WordPress Blog with the new build. Tom’s existing Health Care Blog was on WordPress.Com – I build WordPress.ORG sites, hosted on my own server, for my clients.

Another thing I had to do for Tom was to design a logo – which you will see above. This, however, is a work in progress – I am unsure what we will do with the logo but as Tom is on a subscription model for the site, I can bend and adapt to his wants and needs.

Tom seems happy with the site so far. As I have mentioned, there is a subscription model going fo the site – so if Tom has any queries or needs any help with anything this is all covered in the cost.

The key to the build was to try and convey the information that Tom wanted to get across using images – people often make snap decisions on the way a business presents themselves and I need to make the site modern, clean and tidy. There are plenty of animations on the site to keep people entertained although there is also the chunks of text necessary to show that Tom at Think Nourished knows what he on about.
