YouTube: How To Stop Suggested Videos
When you embed a YouTube video – on your blog or on your site – it can pose a problem. Once the video has played through, you are left with an issue. This Blog post will tell you how to stop that issue. This Blog Post will tell you how to stop YouTube showing related videos at the end of your video. Because let’s face it, a lot of the videos that YouTube throw up there are generated by an algorithm and not tailored specifically to your needs.
Thankfully, this is easy to do. It is all within YouTube. I will now talk you through how to do this, using my promo video as a pointer. If you headed over to my work video, with a view of embedding it, you will see the following.
As I say, the solution is built into YouTube. All you need to do is click on the highlighted SHARE button below your video …
You will then be presented with this pop-up. Click the ‘EMBED’ option, in the top left hand corner. It shows the goodness that you need to use to get the video onto your site. But, there is moe ….
Scroll down the white, right-hand column and you will see the embed options. Click on the checkboxes that you want to tailor your video to. Grab the code from above it and set back to your site.
For the following video I used a different setup for what YouTube gave me – but then I did some further customisation. The above instructions licked out the following code –
<iframe width=”560” height=”315” src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/jzqzUAr90CI?rel=0&showinfo=0″ frameborder=”0″ allow=”autoplay; encrypted-media” allowfullscreen></iframe>
But, I changed it to the following (emphasis on my account) –
<iframe width=”800” height=”450” src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/jzqzUAr90CI?rel=0&showinfo=0″ frameborder=”0″ allow=”autoplay; encrypted-media” allowfullscreen></iframe>
