I am pleased to share that Andrew Backhouse Design is now recognised as an official agency partner with Automattic.

Automattic are the company behind WordPress, WooCommerce, WooPayments and Jetpack. These tools power millions of websites worldwide, including many small businesses, charities and growing organisations.

This recognition reflects my experience working with WordPress and WooCommerce, and it gives my clients extra reassurance that their websites are built and supported to a high standard.

What this means for you

Being an Automattic agency partner is not just a badge. It gives me access to tools and support that directly benefit the people I work with.

Faster and more reliable support

I can now access priority support across WordPress, WooCommerce, Jetpack and related services. If something goes wrong, I can get help more quickly, which helps reduce downtime and stress for you.

Better site management and security

I can monitor and manage client sites through a central agency platform. This makes it easier to keep websites up to date, apply security fixes, and respond quickly to any issues.

For you, that means a site that stays secure, stable and performing well.

Staying close to WordPress core

Through the Automattic for Agencies dashboard, I receive alerts about important updates and security changes. I can act on these promptly, helping your site stay aligned with best practice as WordPress evolves.

Why this matters if you work with a freelancer

Many small businesses want the flexibility and personal service of working with a freelancer, without losing the confidence that comes from agency-level support.

This partnership helps bridge that gap.

You still work directly with me. You still get clear advice, straightforward communication and practical design decisions. Alongside that, you benefit from the backing, tools and support of the company that builds the platform your website runs on.

Looking ahead

If you already work with me, nothing changes day to day, except that I now have more support behind the scenes to look after your site.

If you are considering a new website, an online shop, or ongoing WordPress support, this recognition gives you extra confidence that you are working with someone trusted within the WordPress ecosystem.

If you would like to talk about a project or ongoing support, you can get in touch in the usual way.

If you are planning a new website or want to improve an existing one, I can help. I am a freelance web designer based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, and you can email me at in**@*************se.design to start a conversation.
